Storytime
In 2018, after stepping away from videomaking, I shifted to film photography, drawn to its hands-on process. With a Yashica 124G medium format camera, I started a project titled 18 in 18, aiming to create a zine that portrayed a group of young people, all turning 18 that year, and their connection with the urban environment. The project focused on documenting how adolescents from Generation Z interacted with and were shaped by the city around them. Although the zine was eventually abandoned, I handled every aspect of the work—shooting, developing, and scanning the film myself—offering a personal exploration of analog photography.
